Alpha Kappa Lambda’s 95th Anniversary

Within Southwest Virginia, a milestone was met for the first Black intercollegiate greek letter was established. The Alpha Kappa Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. celebrated its 95th Anniversary.  Many members of the community supported the event, including fellow National Pan-Hellenic Council organizations and Honorable Mayor Brother Sherman Lee.  Brother Lee read the proclamation awarded by the City of Roanoke.  Befitting the occasion, the event was held at the Harrison Museum of African American Culture


Celebrating through support, the event hosted Black Businesses, including, Event Specialist Kianna Marshall of Roanoke, Mary Ann’s Catering, and Cigars at Sunset.  Follow the Chapter through its social networks: FB, Instagram, and Website. This event served as a kick-off 95th Anniversary and will culminate in a summer finale. The Alpha spirit continues to serve the Roanoke and New River valleys
